We celebrated Mallory’s birthday a day early and Grandma and Grandpa Prince’s house yesterday. We also celebrated dad’s birthday, but let’s be honest, once Mallory came into the picture dad took a back seat in a very long bus.
Grandma made her famous spaghetti and meatballs. Mmmmmmmm.
After dinner we had strawberry ice cream cake which Mallory chose. Dad wasn’t consulted in the type of cake. He’s not bitter or anything. After cake it was on to the presents.
Colton went to Target with mommy earlier in the day to pick out a present for Mallory. He chose a singing Elsa and the fire spirit (to be eaten by Lucy later in the evening) from Frozen II. The night before, Colton had a bit of a jealousy melt down about Mallory’s birthday party. Once he calmed down he decided, on his own, that he wanted to make his sister a “birthday note.” So dad printed out a card and Colton wrote a message to Mallory, “I giv yoo this presit, Mallory.”
Other gifts included: a giant horse and a doll to ride it, some wooden Melissa & Doug dress up dolls and some Trolls from the same movie. A few days earlier Mallory was playing in Grandma and Grandpa’s room and stumbled upon the Trolls in the closet. She didn’t hesitate to tell Grandma what she had found.
