This week, we started potty training, again, with Miss Mallory. Dad is able to stay home most days during the week, so this is the best time to pick it up again. Mallory is doing much better this time around. Instead of burning through 20 pairs of underwear in a few hours, she has only went through maybe 5 or so all day, and the number is going down. Yesterday, she said, “I peed” and dad thought she had, but when he checked her underpants they were still dry. So, they went to the bathroom and Mallory took a good long pee. With each pee Mallory is rewarded with M&M’s. The reward was supposed to be one M&M for pee and two for poop, but Mallory has protested this and, without much negotiation, the number has been bumped up to three for pee and five for poop.

This morning, Mallory has started the routine of having her babies go potty first.

UPDATE 10/08/20

Things have been going well with Mallory’s potty training. She only has one or two accidents each day. This past Sunday, Dad was upstairs getting some clothes, and when he came down Mallory said she pooped. Dad was confused, since Mallory was naked and there wasn’t any poop underneath her. He asked he to turn around and it appeared that her butt was clean. When he went into the bathroom to check the toilet, sure enough there was a turd in there. Dad was very confused still, he though maybe one of the dogs had learned how to use the toilet. No way had this two-and-a-half year old gone into the bathroom all by herself and gone poop. After wiping Mallory’s butt it confirmed that she had gone potty.
