Pickin’ Pumpkins & Scary Stores

Today we had our annual trip with Hunter’s to Neltner’s Farm to pick some pumpkins. The weather was beautiful and the kiddos were awesome. They rode some horses, fed some goats, and rode in a barrel train.

After the pumpkin patch, we continued our tradition by visiting a Halloween store. The kids absolutely love going to the Halloween store. Colton has been watching Youtube videos of people walking through Halloween stores. Each year they get a little bit braver with the scary decorations. Both of them actually stepped on the mats of some of the smaller decorations. Sadly at this store, there weren’t any jumping spiders, which are Mallory’s favorite.

Colton picked out two costumes. He is going as a Space Jam basketball player for his school costume. This is interesting since he has never even heard of the Space Jam movie. We will be sure to show him the movie before he puts the costume on. For Halloween, he chose to go as Ghost Face from the Scream movie franchise. He WILL NOT be seeing those movies before he puts on the costume. He has a good 4-6 years before he is allowed to them.

Mallory chose to be a unicorn/princess/fairy thing. It was sparkly and pink and it caught her eye.
