Colton is a big 6 year old! We don’t know how to keep him from growing up 🙁

His birthday was on Tuesday, so we started celebrating the Saturday before. He really wanted Splatoon 2, so on Saturday morning he woke up to it downloaded onto his Switch. Mallory gave him a water gun set, she had already chosen the blue one to be her gun.

Nana and Nono came over on Saturday for dinner. Dad made an amazing shrimp boil and Nana made Colton’s favorite dessert, bread pudding. He received a Lego Mario set and a crystal growing kit.

Sunday we went over Grandma and Grandpa Prince’s house for dinner. We had a short water gun fight on the back deck. The kids insisted on squirting us, but didn’t want us to shoot them, especially Mallory.

Grandma made spaghetti and meatballs, Colton’s request, and dirt cake for dessert… mommy’s request to Colton to request. Grandma and Grandpa gave Colton Flarp (which Mallory received a container of the farting goop as well), Simon Says, a sword, and a giant badminton set.

On Monday, a package arrived from Mimi and Papa with two more gifts for Colton. An air powered rocket and a dinosaur night-light kit. We have yet to build the night-light, but the rocket kit has been used a few times already.

To finish off the birthday celebration, Colton had a birthday donut on his actual birthday Tuesday morning before school. He had a great weekend of celebrating his birthday. NOW STOP GROWING UP!
